Inspired by a traditional pattern design, I created the cutout by drawing in procreate. I then machine cut the design using my Cricut. I used an assortment of decorative and colored papers (pieces from my own collograph prints, store-bought papers, and hand drawn textures) to fill the "tiles" with color, texture, and movement.
I digitally drew this tessellated pattern. I machine cut the cream colored sheet, and a variety of papers (metallic, colored, and textured) to complete the piece.
